Finding our house from the station, and vice-versa
In the map below, our house (1 Sedgwick St.) is the blue dot in the top
right-hand corner of the image; Cambridge Train Station is the blue dot in
the bottom left-hand corner. The blue line connecting them is the best
route. It takes about ten minutes to walk, or
fifteen if you're really dawdling.
Instructions from the station to the house:
- Leaving the station, turn right
- Pass to the left of the tavern / bike park / hotel building and go into the main car park
(FAOD, the main car park is not the cab rank / car waiting area)
- Head towards the foot of the pedestrian/cycle bridge ahead of you - a
flight of steps takes you up onto the bridge
- Cross the bridge
- Turn left, passing through the cycle gates; keep going straight to the end
- Turn right onto Argyle St.
- Turn first left onto Cockburn St., walk to the end
- Sedgwick St. is just across the Mill Road, slightly to your right
- We are the first house on the left in Sedgwick St. proper
Instructions from the house to the station:
- Leaving the house, turn right
- Cross the Mill Road, turn right, and take the first left down Cockburn St.
- At the bottom of Cockburn St., turn right
- At the pedestrian bollards, follow the road around to the left
- Pass through the cycle gates opposite the shop
- Turn right onto the footbridge
- As soon as you leave the covered section of the footbridge, go down the
stairs to your right
- Turn right at the bottom of the stairs, follow the path into the station
car park
- Head down the length of the car park towards the exit
- The entrance to Cambridge Station is coming up on your left-hand side
as you pass the bike park / hotel / tavern building
